1. What is included in the retreat package?
Each retreat includes accommodation, daily tennis sessions (including coaching, social tennis and a friendly competition). Transfers from the accommodation to the tennis courts are included. Please check your specific retreat listing for details.
2. Do I need to be an experienced tennis player?
Our retreats welcome players from low-intermediate to advanced competitors. You’ll be grouped with players of similar ability to ensure that every session is challenging and enjoyable.
3. What kind of accommodation is provided?
We select boutique, high-quality accommodation near our tennis and wellness facilities. We standard offer private rooms and may provide the option for double room bookings depending on the retreat package. Details will be provided upon booking.
4. What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
In the event of poor weather, we adjust the schedule to include indoor or alternative sessions — such as tennis strategy workshops, fitness or mobility training, and wellness seminars. Our goal is to deliver a full and enriching experience regardless of the weather.
5. What should I bring?
Bring your tennis gear (racquets, tennis shoes, and comfortable sportswear), swimwear, sunscreen, and any personal items you may need. Balls and other training equipment will be provided.
6. Are meals included?
Please refer to the retreat specifics for what meals are included. Our retreats include healthy, nourishing meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Dietary requirements can be accommodated — please inform us at least two weeks before the retreat.
7. Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Many participants attend solo. It’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded people who share your passion for tennis, travel, and wellbeing.
8. How do I get to the retreat location?
Each retreat listing includes travel details and the nearest airport or train station.
9. What is your cancellation policy?
Please refer to our full General Terms and Conditions. In general:
Cancellations more than 60 days before the retreat: full refund minus a $250 administration fee.
30–59 days: 50% refund.
Less than 30 days: no refund available.
We also recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
10. What if the retreat is cancelled by Aureus Retreats?
If we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (such as extreme weather or low enrolments), you’ll be offered a full refund or a credit towards a future retreat. We are not responsible for travel or other costs incurred.
11. Is there free time during the retreat?
Yes, there’s plenty of downtime to rest, explore the area, or enjoy optional wellness treatments. Our schedule balances structured sessions with relaxation time.
12. Is travel insurance required?
We highly recommend comprehensive travel and health insurance that covers injury, illness, and cancellations.
13. Can non-playing partners join?
Yes, we offer “companion” options for partners who wish to enjoy the retreat experience without participating in tennis sessions. They can join all meals, social events, and wellness activities.
14. Who are the coaches?
Our retreats are led by certified, highly experienced tennis coaches who work with players of all levels.
